About the Red Thread R&B Alliance
The Red Thread R&B Alliance was founded in 2023 in response to the COVID pandemic and the World Health Organization’s (WHO) proclamation that the “loneliness Epidemic” had replaced climate change as the most serious health crisis humankind has faced.
Despite vast technological advances, our current healthcare system is not equipped to handle this challenge. WHO and other organizations have provided good evidence that workable solutions are available; Specifically two major themes have emerged:
- Small group social connection skill development
- Personal resilience skill acquisition
These interventions are best done at “the grass roots level” as opposed to the “large system-based approach” that is promoted by our current business and healthcare models.
Over the past few years, the Daniels family and a small community of friends have worked with local and regional organizations to develop several successful initiatives to combat this problem. This was accomplished by creating programs that were based on the following:
- Public health and preventative medicine principles
- Latest cutting-edge neuroscience
- Wisdom traditions, connection, and resilience models
- Nature-based settings and activities
